Music 4.5 What is the Value of Music?

6 July 2017 (14.00-18.00), 5 Chancery Lane, Clifford’s Inn, London, EC4A 1BL

Music as an asset…

We all buy music as consumers, but there is a whole other layer of music acquisition taking place outside of the consumer music market. Businesses, organisations and individuals are increasingly using music as a financial tool and asset in which to invest, both as collateral for cash and for long term safe and regular revenue.

We are devoting our next London-based Music 4.5 to exploring what the value of music is when used as an asset.

Music 4.5 What is the Value of Music? will cover questions such as:

– What is attractive when valuing music and music catalogue?
– Which aspects of music and music catalogues are valuable?
– Who are the players on the music market?
– What does the business of music mean to artists, and how can they profit?
– There is money in the movie and advertising business – what are the ways of crossing over into the film rights and synch catalogues?
